Please complete this APPLICATION BELOW if you want to compete in the Inland Empire Blues Society contest to send a band or a solo/duo act to the IBC in Memphis in January of 2027. This challenge will happen on Sunday, June 14th, 2026 at The Social in Spokane, WA. This form is an initial statement of interest, and not binding. Here is a link to the event.

PARTICIPATION CRITERIA AND DEADLINE: 
Each competition will follow the rules of the Blues Foundation (https://blues.org/ibc-rules-guidelines-local-affiliate-challenges/). Each set will be limited to 25 minutes, and each competitor will be allowed one 15-minute set change. Judges will evaluate acts using the Blues Foundation score sheet. Any blues act that resides within 250 miles of Spokane, WA, may enter, and the act must include at least one person who is a member of the IEBS (can join at time of entry if needed).

Applications must be received no later than Monday, May 29th, 2026.  

Each winner will be required to perform at a minimum of two fundraisers in 2026 at no charge. Proceeds from these events will be used to help defray expenses to get each winning act to and from Memphis. The IEBS is covering the cost of transportation and lodging - musicians will be responsible for their own food.
